Our Quantum website has been designed to help you obtain insurance coverage for your client's European assets with the minimum of effort.

Quantum is delighted to be one of Chubb's leading Private Client partner brokers in Europe. Since 2006 we have arranged hundreds of Masterpiece policies for US clients with second homes in UK and Europe, moving on both a permanent or temporary basis.

If you have clients in need of quality coverage for their homes in Europe then you have come to the right place. Quantum has vast experience in working with Chubb's overseas brokers to arrange local Masterpiece policies for their VIP clients. We work with you to insure homes, possessions and personal liabilities in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany and most of the Nordic countries.

Chubb can only issue coverage via brokers that have UK regulatory approval and we therefore work in partnership with you to facilitate cover. Alternatively, we are comfortable dealing with your clients and their advisors, such as their Family Office, on a direct basis. Under-insurance

A client arranged their buildings coverage on a notional figure of £700,000 with a non-specialist insurer, the non-speci...alist policy contained a strict average (under-insurance) clause. The Chubb appraisal revealed that the rebuild cost was £1,200,000 meaning they were under-insured and could have lost over 40% of any claim.

Policy Exclusions

A client was unaware of several exclusions their policy contained relating to visitation. They failed to realise that on...ce their holiday home had not been occupied for more than 30 days they were subject to huge dilutions in cover.

Risk Management

Upon moving his family to London a VIP client wanted a fire protection and intruder alarm system installed by a reputabl...e company with minimum fuss. Quantum was able to introduce a partner firm that we have known for several years and provide technical input on the system design to maximise premium discounting.

Why can’t I deal with Chubb directly?

What European territories do Chubb write business in?

Chubb are licensed to write business in the most European countries. The principal countries in which we see enquiries are:

United Kingdom, (England, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, The Channel Islands and The Isle of Man)

How is the policy managed?

How do we obtain a quotation?

You provide the underwriting (which can be submitted via our website) and we return with a proposal from Chubb. This proposal includes the personalised quotation and policy summary in PDF format. If the proposal is acceptable then cover can be bound immediately. We provide all documentation via PDF so everything is produced quickly and accurately.

How long does a quotation take?

How is the premium billed and paid?

Do Chubb write Auto in Europe?

Because of the nature of local regulation Chubb do not write Auto in all European countries. At present we are able to insure cars in the UK and Southern Ireland. We can, in certain circumstances, cover cars in other territories as well as cars touring Europe. These cases are dependent on the individual exposure involved and the size of the client’s connection in the US.

What happens at renewal?

Do we receive commission?

There are scenario’s where we do receive commission, however where premium is below £1,500 we would not receive commission. The bank charges just don’t make this feasible. Above this premium level we can either issue a net quotation (with no commission payable to you) or commission can be negotiated on a case by case basis.

What to do if you have a complaint

At Quantum we pride ourselves on the services we provide to our clients, should you have a complaint please contact us in the first instance and we will try to resolve your complaint within three working days.

After three working days, your complaint will be passed to our central complaints team:

We are committed to delivering the highest standards of customer care and we have procedures in place to investigate complaints. We undertake to:

Try and resolve the complaint within 3 working days and write to you confirming if we have done so;

Acknowledge any formal complaints promptly;

Respond fully to your concern or complaint within four weeks or less. If for any reason this is not possible, we will write to you to explain why we have been unable to conclude the matter quickly. If we have been unable to resolve your complaint in eight weeks, we will write to you explaining the reason as to why this has not been possible. We will also advise you of your right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (if applicable).
